I love that Christmas gives us permission to pause and capture the spirit of the season.

A reminder to breathe, slow down, and let the season find you.

With that spirit in mind, this issue includes a blast-from-the-past gift along with:

  • A poem that captures the power of stillness

  • The 5 most-read issues from 2025

  • My favorite newsletter readers replies from the year

Enjoy this spirit-filled read, and I hope your cup runneth over with protein-infused spiked eggnog.

Give the Gift of Story

Last year's Christmas issue carried a truth worth repeating:

That’s because the reminder feels just as relevant now as it did then.

Your story is a gift.

Not just to your business.

To your team. Your customers. The people around your table.

Because your story might be exactly what someone needs to hear right now.

To feel less alone.

To see a possibility they hadn't seen yet.

To keep going.

This year, the spirit remains the same.

Make your story your most spirit-filled gift.

BE STILL THIS CHRISTMAS

The holidays have a way of filling every quiet space.

Conversations. Plans. Expectations. Movement.

But every once in a while, Christmas invites something different.

Stillness.

One of my favorite poems by David Wagoner reminds me of this.

The power of pausing.

Of being still.

And letting the moment find you.

"Lost" by David Wagoner

“Stand still.
The trees ahead and bushes beside you are not lost.
Wherever you are is called Here, and you must treat it as a powerful stranger
You must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes.
Listen.
It answers, I have made this place around you.
If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you, you are surely lost.
Stand still.
The forest knows where you are.
You must let it find you.”

2025’S MOST-READ ISSUES

These are the five issues you returned to the most this year:

FROM THE INBOX 🧡

Some of my favorite moments this year came from unsolicited replies to the newsletter. Notes you didn’t have to send, but chose to. Messages like these keep the writer flame burning strong.

And every now and then, had me spitting out my collagen protein matcha latte.

“You're like, Harvard—sharing all these case studies for people to learn from. 😎🤓

~ Jennifer Wines, Founder of Invisible Wealth

“Wow I LOVE THAT ELEPHANT STORY!!!! Just shared that image with a few friends!”

~ Anna Taranova, Dwight Funding

“Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated todays newsletter message. Perfect timing as I start to build champions with the launch of my founders club this week!”

~ Cassie Omohundro, Founder of High Tide Collective

Thank you, thank you for this. I love sharing information like this with my team. You validated it!

~ A.S. , Founder of Apple Canyon

Great stuff Lyn.  Good thing it was dirt and not sh%t.  Always a bright side :).   Appreciate you sending these out. (referencing the ‘When Life Buries You’ issue

A CHRISTMAS WISH

As the year winds down, here's my simple wish for you:

That your holiday is filled with beautiful moments you'll remember for years.

Small ones. Unexpected ones. Human ones.

Because stories, after all, are just memories that keep on giving.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
